A New Chapter for Palette: Transitioning to the Element and Array Platforms
Over the past decade, Palette has played a pivotal role in our journey at Mosaic, helping to shape the landscape of 3D printing with its innovative multi-material capabilities. As we continue to evolve and innovate, we’ve made the decision to phase out the standalone Palette product in favor of integrating its technology into our next-generation platforms: Element and Array. We understand this transition might raise some questions, so we’ve compiled the most common ones below to help clarify what this means for you, our valued Palette users.
We want to take a moment to thank all of you who have supported Palette over the years — your enthusiasm and feedback have been crucial in driving us forward. As we move into the next chapter of our product development, we remain committed to supporting our Palette 3 Pro users for the long term and ensuring a smooth transition.
Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
- Why is Palette being discontinued?
The decision to discontinue Palette was made after careful consideration. As the 3D printing industry grows and our customers are looking for solutions to enhance their supply-chain resilience, we made the difficult decision to focus our engineering resources on our Array and Element platforms. Palette, in the form of Palette X, will now live inside these platforms as our advanced material management system. - When will Palette no longer be available?
We have a limited number of Palette units available and after selling through our stock, we will no longer be manufacturing more units. - Will there be a replacement or alternative product?
Palette X will now live inside the Element and Array platforms. There will not be a replacement or alternative accessory product at this time.
Support and Maintenance
- Will I still receive support for the product after it’s discontinued?
Yes, we plan to continue to provide hardware, spare parts, and technical support for our Palette product line. It is important to us as an organization to stand behind our customers. We still actively solve support requests for our Palette, Palette+ and Palette 2 line of products from 2016. - What happens to my existing warranty?
All warranties will remain valid until their original expiration date. We will honor warranty claims in line with our policy. - What about software?
Our Canvas software will continue to support the use of Palette.
Purchase and Transition
- Can I still purchase the product?
Yes, Palette will be available for purchase while supplies last. We recommend placing orders soon if you wish to purchase remaining stock. - What are my options if I recently purchased this product?
There will be no impact to customers who recently purchased a Palette. Customers who recently purchased Palette can continue using the product, receive support, and have their warranties honored. - Will there be any discounts or promotions on remaining inventory?
We will be running a Black Friday promotion on current inventory.
We know that this change might feel bittersweet, but we’re incredibly excited about the future and the direction additive manufacturing is heading. Palette has been a cornerstone of our story, and its technology will continue to live on and evolve as part of the Element and Array platforms. We’re confident that this shift will open up even more possibilities for our customers, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
We’re grateful for your support over the years and for being a part of the Palette community.
